Meet Thelma Triplett
Thelma is a retired educator and counselor who dedicated 29 years to supporting students before beginning her journey with Burnett Specialists in 2014. She initially worked convention staffing and now serves as a temporary receptionist for various Burnett clients, bringing her calming presence, communication skills, and dedication to each assignment.
A Passion for Service and Learning
When asked what she enjoys most about her work, Thelma shared: “I enjoy seeing the world outside of education! I love learning about different industries and how they operate. The flexibility of temp work is very important to me. I also appreciate that I can contribute to companies and help keep things running smoothly. I believe the clients I work for appreciate that they can focus on the work they need to do without worrying about the front desk.”
A Career Marked by Reliability and Trust
Thelma is proud of the trust she has built with both clients and recruiters: “I am proud that recruiters and clients feel they can trust and depend on me to arrive as scheduled and represent Burnett and the client well on the job.”
What motivates her to continue delivering excellence? “I’m detail-oriented and get satisfaction from a job done well. If I do something, I am going to do it to the best of my ability.”

“Burnett has helped me stay up to date with the changing workforce, the different needs after COVID, and the rapid changes in technology.” Thanks to her background and drive to keep learning, Thelma continues to bring value and insight to each new assignment.

Beyond the Workplace
Outside of work, Thelma enjoys reading, traveling, spending time with friends, and hanging out with her adorable 14-year-old dog, Lulu. She also enjoys sharing her experience with others: “People are always asking me what agency I work for. So, I have told several friends and relatives about Burnett Specialists, and I was excited to work a couple of conventions with one of my nieces who was hired!”
And here’s a fun full-circle moment—After retiring, Thelma volunteered as a Volunteer Coordinator for her church’s nonprofit organization. Years later, she was asked to interview a Burnett candidate to take over that very position! The candidate was hired and has since been promoted.
