Meet Patricia
Patricia is currently fulfilling her 5th assignment with Burnett Specialists and is serving as an Interim Academic Program Coordinator at Rice University, supporting the PhD and Master Programs in the Bioengineering Department at the Bioscience Research Collaborative.
In her role, Patricia supports a wide range of academic program functions and plays a key role in keeping essential operations running smoothly. Her organization, communication, and ability to stay ahead of priorities help ensure faculty and students have the support they need to succeed.

When asked what she enjoys most about her work, Patricia shared that she loves the variety her role brings: “I like the versatility of my tasks and responsibilities, no day is the same, and I enjoy being part of the greater picture in shaping the future of our students.”
That versatility is exactly what makes Patricia such a valuable addition to any team—she can pivot quickly, take on new responsibilities confidently, and maintain a calm, steady presence in fast-paced environments.
Proud Moments & A Strong Work Ethic
One of Patricia’s proudest accomplishments at Burnett is her ability to step in and make an immediate impact—sometimes with little to no training: “I am most proud of my ability to jump in, sometimes with little to no training and contribute to overall productivity and goals of the client.”
That’s the kind of adaptability that truly sets Patricia apart. She brings both experience and initiative to every assignment, allowing her to quickly learn new processes, support teams effectively, and contribute from day one.
What Motivates Patricia to Excel
Patricia is driven by results—and the satisfaction of knowing her work makes a difference: “What motivates me is seeing results from my input and knowing I am able to contribute to overall success. In turn, the acknowledgment and praise I receive from both my recruiter and client motivate me as well.” This speaks volumes about Patricia’s work style: she takes pride in doing things the right way, staying engaged, and continuing to improve. In addition, I believe my keen eye for detail, being resourceful, and reliable, also play an important role.”

Outside of Work
Outside of the office, Patricia enjoys quality time with her family and a well-earned moment of relaxation: “I love spending time and relaxing with my family (husband and son). I enjoy watching movies and TV, surfing the internet, playing games (board and on my phone), and listening to music. I also love to sing.”
