Meet Katherine Pena
Katherine describes herself as naturally reserved, but credits her experience with Burnett for helping her come out of her shell and gain confidence. She excels in roles that allow her to consistently apply and strengthen her professional communication skills. Her adaptability and eagerness to grow are evident in every assignment she takes on.
Gaining Experience and Confidence
When asked what she enjoys most about her work, Katherine shared: “I enjoy everything about the work I’m doing. I’ve met so many people and learned so much—especially about how things operate in the construction industry. It’s been a great experience.”
Growth Through Courage and Curiosity
One of Katherine’s proudest accomplishments has been embracing a bold new mindset: “I’m most proud of stepping out of my comfort zone and embracing a ‘I’ve got this, I can do it’ attitude. It’s helped me grow personally and professionally and tackle challenges with confidence.”
What keeps her motivated? “Of course, money is always a motivator, but what really drives me is the people I’ve met and the knowledge I’ve gained. That makes the work feel meaningful and keeps me improving.”
