For more than three years, Aleena has been on assignment with the same prestigious law firm, where she currently works as a Legal Talent Acquisition Coordinator. During her tenure, she has grown within her role, taken on greater responsibilities, and become a trusted and valued member of the team.
Recognized for Professionalism, Adaptability & Dedication
Aleena was nominated by her Burnett Specialists recruiter, Michelle Waldron, who has worked closely with her since 2023. Michelle shared: “Aleena has been an exemplary employee throughout her tenure on assignment. Since we first started working together in early 2023, she has consistently proven herself to be a strong communicator and dedicated employee with a motivation to help her team, adding value overall, not just for herself. She has been very flexible and fluid with department changes and handled these changes professionally while continuing to support the client in their goals.”
Michelle also describes Aleena as a polished and intelligent professional with a friendly demeanor who is responsive, patient, and professional while still knowing how to advocate for herself. That combination of professionalism, flexibility, and confidence has allowed Aleena to successfully navigate changes within her department while continuing to grow in her own career.
Taking a Leap of Faith into a New Career
Aleena’s path to Legal Talent Acquisition didn’t begin in the legal industry. Before joining Burnett Specialists, she was a second-grade teacher. After deciding her teaching journey had come to an end, Aleena found herself facing the uncertainty that often accompanies a major career change. A close friend referred her to Burnett Specialists, and she decided to take a leap of faith. Just four weeks later, she accepted an opportunity that would ultimately lead to a new career path and a long-term assignment spanning more than three years. “I’m so grateful for all of the hard work that everyone at Burnett Specialists has put in to helping me and all of their clients grow professionally.” Aleena’s story is a wonderful example of how transferable skills, the right opportunity, and a willingness to embrace change can open the door to an entirely new professional journey.
Growing Her Career & Making a Lasting Impact
During her assignment, Aleena has continued to earn additional trust and responsibility. One of her proudest accomplishments has been being promoted to work with the firm’s lateral recruiting team, allowing her to expand her responsibilities and continue developing her expertise within Legal Talent Acquisition. She has also been selected to lead multiple training videos—something she considers especially meaningful because those resources will continue helping others beyond her day-to-day responsibilities.
“Being promoted to work with the lateral team and trusted with more responsibility has meant a lot to me. I’ve also been asked to lead multiple training videos, which has been especially rewarding! It feels like a real, lasting contribution to the company.”
Motivated by Helping Others Succeed
While recognition is meaningful to Aleena, what truly motivates her is the opportunity to make her team stronger. “Recognition matters to me, but what really drives me is knowing I’m helping my team members grow and helping the firm run more smoothly and efficiently.”
That team-first mentality is also something Michelle has seen throughout their partnership. Aleena isn’t focused solely on her own success—she looks for opportunities to contribute to the success of the entire team.

Life Outside of Work
When Aleena isn’t supporting Legal Talent Acquisition, she enjoys cooking, reading, watching movies, and traveling. Exploring new cities is one of her favorite ways to spend her free time!
