For the past four years, Matthew has supported one of our valued clients, building an outstanding reputation as a trusted leader, problem solver, and teammate. His dedication, positive attitude, and ability to consistently deliver results have made him an invaluable part of the team and a true reflection of Burnett Specialists’ core values.
Recognized for Leadership, Teamwork & Outstanding Client Support
Matthew was nominated by his recruiter, Wendy Henderson, and his manager shared why he is so deserving of this recognition: “Matt is very well received by his peers and the agents. Everyone loves working with him, and Matt is very responsive with all agents, including ones that are not on his team. Matt runs a very high-performing team based on his leadership skills, and his client interactions always result in a positive outcome.”
His manager also praised Matthew’s ability to stay ahead of projects, keep his team informed, and hold vendors accountable to established processes. Perhaps most impressive is his ability to de-escalate difficult situations while maintaining strong relationships with both internal teams and clients. “Working with Matt has been an absolute joy. He’s shown me on countless occasions to take a step back and breathe before proceeding. Matt has been fantastic to work with over the last few years, and I hope to continue for many more years to come.”
Four Years of Excellence
Reaching four years with the same client is an incredible accomplishment and a testament to Matthew’s consistency, professionalism, and the trust he has built throughout his assignment. Long-term partnerships like this don’t happen by chance. They are earned through hard work, exceptional performance, and the ability to build lasting relationships.
As Matthew continues his journey toward becoming a vested owner in Burnett Specialists’ Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP), he already exemplifies the ownership mentality that defines our employee-owned culture.
Leading by Example
Matthew currently serves as a State of Georgia Technical Leader, while also taking on additional responsibilities as Training Manager, Queue Manager, Knowledge Manager, and UAR Manager.
When asked what he enjoys most about his work, his answer was simple: “My favorite part is being helpful to my team! No matter what they need.”
That servant leadership mentality is evident in everything he does. Whether he’s mentoring teammates, supporting agents, or ensuring projects stay on track, Matthew consistently puts the success of others first.
Proud of His Team
One accomplishment Matthew is most proud of isn’t about himself at all—it’s about the people around him. “The ability to always be able to brag about how effective, efficient, and outstanding my team is with the data to back it up.”
His pride in his team’s accomplishments reflects the kind of leader he is. Rather than seeking recognition for himself, Matthew enjoys celebrating the success of those he leads and supporting them in achieving outstanding results.
A Strong Work Ethic
When asked what motivates him to go above and beyond, Matthew credits the values instilled in him growing up. “I can’t say I have a motivation for going the extra mile; it’s more of a work ethic that was drilled in since birth being a part of a military family.”
That work ethic has become one of his defining characteristics and is reflected in the professionalism, accountability, and consistency he brings to work every day.

Matthew also shared how much he appreciates the partnership he has built with Burnett Specialists. “Whenever me or my team need anything, Wendy is right there and quick with her assistance.”

Life Outside of Work
When he’s not leading his team, Matthew enjoys spending his free time PC gaming, learning new hands-on skills, and singing karaoke. His enthusiasm and positive energy extend beyond the workplace and are part of what makes him such a pleasure to work with.
