In 1974, Burnett Personnel Consultants was founded by Sue Burnett and operated with only five consultants and a receptionist in Houston. Today, Sue has grown the company into a multi-million dollar venture boasting over 115 full-time employees and thousands of temporary staffing employees in 5 cities across Texas!

Each year, Staffing Industry Analysts, the industry’s global adviser on staffing and workforce solutions, asks for nominations for this fantastic recognition program. Because of the overwhelming response of submissions sent in from their readers across the globe, they have now turned what used to be the “Global Power 100” into the “Global Power 150”. Fifty honorees are selected for North America, 50 honorees are chosen for South America, and 50 additional honorees from around the world are chosen.

This year there were over 700 nominations from around the world!

“Women account for 58% of the American workforce, according to the US Department of Labor, but they are significantly outnumbered when it comes to leadership positions at top companies. Our industry is not that different. While women dominate the industry at the branch-office level, these numbers are not reflected in our C-suites. For instance, our 2018 Staffing 100 hovers at around 20% women — there were 20 women on it in 2018, while our 2017 list included 22.”
